Sheikh Didarul Alam was born at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka. As the son of a heroic freedom fighter and a proud member of the Bangladesh Army, his upbringing across various military cantonments instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism, strong adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to honesty and discipline. During his student years, he also served as an active cadet in the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC).
Sheikh Didarul Alam boasts an exemplary academic and professional training background. He holds an MBA in International Business & Marketing, alongside Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD) in Industrial Management from the Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM) and in Fashion & Apparel Merchandising from the Bangladesh Apparel Institute (BAI). To further refine his strategic acumen, he completed specialized courses in Competitive Business Strategy & Innovation (CBSI) and Managerial Communication for Professional Success (MCPS) at the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka (IBA, DU). Additionally, he holds a Supply Chain Management certification from the International Supply Chain Educational Alliance (ISCEA). Equipped with over a dozen specialized certifications in modern business strategy and industrial technology, he is uniquely prepared to lead through the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).
With over two decades of executive experience in multinational companies within Bangladesh’s Ready-Made Garment (RMG) industry, Sheikh Didarul Alam is widely recognized as a visionary and reliable industry expert.
In addition to his incredible success in the corporate world, he is also playing a very important and commendable role in the country's academia. He conducts sessions as an invited 'industry expert' and resource person at various universities in the country.
At the same time, as a skilled corporate trainer, he is working tirelessly to make the future generation work-oriented and highly skilled. As a result, he received approval from the Bangladesh Government to establish the Bangladesh German Institute of Fashion & Technology (BGIFT).
His ultimate vision is to empower young professionals to bridge the gap between academia and industry, transforming their "Passion into Profession" so that future Bangladeshi leaders can head Fortune 500 companies globally.

Driven by social responsibility, he founded the Bangladesh Private Service Association (BPSA) to safeguard the rights, improve the quality of life, and elevate the professionalism of private sector employees in Bangladesh. A lifelong learner, author, and tech enthusiast, Sheikh Didarul Alam spends his spare time traveling, exploring emerging technologies, and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
